Dear Praying Friends ~ As we march forward into September and leave Summer 2023 behind, let’s keep praying. This week’s posts will again include Isaiah 43:18-19. We will also visit Psalm 23:1-6. Tuesday, September 5, 2023: Read Isaiah 43:18-19, Psalm 23:1

Prayer Pointer/Promise: I have EVERYTHING I need in Christ!

Prayer “Starter”: Holy Spirit, fill me with fresh faith to believe and receive the promise of Psalm 23:1. I have EVERYTHING I need in Christ. Jesus, thank You for being my Good Shepherd. Father, thank You for sending Jesus to rescue me. I want to know You more and love You more! (add your own prayers) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE EMBRACE YOUR NEW THING!

Think/Journal/Apply: Do I believe that I have EVERYTHING I need in Christ? Why or why not?

As you have time: Worship Song for Today Great is Thy Faithfulness, pause throughout today as you are able and say, “Thank You, Lord, that I have EVERYTHING I need in Christ!”

Wednesday, September 6, 2023: Read Isaiah 43:18-19, Psalm 23:2

Prayer Pointer/Promise: Jesus, my Good Shepherd, provides me REST!

Prayer “Starter”: Lord, help me to truly REST in You! Forgive me for the places where I do not obey You in REST. Help me to learn Your rhythms of work and REST. (add your own prayers) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE EMBRACE YOUR NEW THING!

Think/journal/apply: How difficult is it for me to walk in the Lord’s REST? Why or why not?

As you have time: Worship Song for Today Be Still and Know; pause today as you are able and whisper a prayer: Lord, teach me how to REST in You.

Thursday, September 7, 2023: Isaiah 43:18-19, Psalm 23:3-4

Prayer pointer/promises: The Lord refreshes us and GUIDES me. He GUIDES me, even in difficult places, providing supernatural peace.

Prayer “starter”: Lord, I thank You again today for being a Good Shepherd who GUIDES me in every one of life’s paths. I claim Your promise today to be with me even in the darkest days of life. Thank You for refreshing my life with the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. (add your own prayers) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE EMBRACE YOUR NEW THING!

Think/journal/apply: Do I need to pause today to be refreshed by my Good Shepherd?

Friday, September 8, 2023: Read Isaiah 43:18-19, Psalm 23:5-6

Prayer Pointer/Promises: God PROVIDES for me even in the midst of the trouble of this world. His presence is with me in each moment.

Prayer “Starter”: Lord, thank You that even in the darkest places where I am surrounded by enemies, You PROVIDE for me. You PROVIDE an overflowing “cup” in the midst of life’s troubles and triumphs. That is triumph! Thank You! Open my understanding in a greater way today to understand Psalm 23:5-6. (add your own prayers) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE EMBRACE YOUR NEW THING!

Think/Journal/Apply: Is there any place today where I feel I’m lacking provision? Speak to the Lord about this.

Take some time for true Sabbath this weekend. I encourage you to make time for corporate worship and prayer. And as you have a moment, review the promises of Psalm 23:1-6 that we prayed this week:

I have EVERYTHING I need in Christ!

Jesus, my Good Shepherd, provides me REST!

The Lord refreshes us and GUIDES me. He GUIDES me, even in difficult places, providing supernatural peace.

God PROVIDES for me even in the midst of the trouble of this world. His presence is with me in each moment.
