Show Us Your Glory, Lord… October 16-22, 2023

Dear praying friends~ I feel like a woman of few words as I write this. It seems our whole world has changed in an instant with wars and other disastrous events. I am grateful that I know the King of Kings and Lord of Lords who is firmly on His Throne. Oh, how I love Jesus! If you are finding yourself afraid today, I remind you to begin to worship Him anew. He doesn’t need our worship or anything from us, but as we worship we experience His strength once again. This month we continue to pray from 1 Chronicles 29:11 every day: Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom;  you are exalted as head over all. This week, I heard the word “wisdom” from the Lord. We all need His “wisdom” to rightly discern the times we face here on earth. We need much more than just knowledge of His Word, we need His wisdom to understand how to walk. We will pray through Proverbs 1 this week. I hope you will join me as we pray on…SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD and LET YOUR KINGDOM COME! ~Gina

As You Have Time: The word “scoffer” is from the Hebrew lēsim, meaning a person who mocks or speaks arrogantly. This is a person who sneers at wisdom, makes fun of it, or laughs at it, instead of listening to it. This same attitude is reflected in verses such as Isaiah 28:22Psalm 119:51, and Proverbs 14:9.
