Show Us Your Glory, Lord… November 13-19, 2023

Dear Praying Friends~Do you ever feel “threadbare”? As I continue to ask the Lord to “pour” me out into the world for His glory, I often feel empty. That “emptiness” is the reminder to get back into my “prayer chair” with the Lord to allow Him to fill me up again. I hope that you have a special place where You meet with the Lord regularly. This is not a time to run on “empty.” Ask Him to fill you again with His Spirit. We will continue to meditate and pray from John 1:5&14 this month along with other scriptures about God’s light. Let’s keep praying: Show Us Your Glory, Lord as Your Light Dawns! Blessings~Gina

Prayer Pointer: We must begin to believe that God, in the mystery of prayer, has entrusted us with a force that can move the Heavenly world, and can bring its power down to earth. ~Andrew Murray

Prayer Fuel: Lord, I know that You dwell in absolute LIGHT. You are the LIGHT. Please continue to reveal Your deep and profound truths to me so that I can walk with You more nearly and love You more dearly. (add your own prayers) Show Us Your Glory, Lord as Your Light Dawns!

Think/Journal/Apply: Where do I need more Holy Spirit courage to walk with the Lord?

As You Have Time: Read Daniel 12:10

Prayer Pointer: Humility is perfect quietness of heart. It is to expect nothing, to wonder at nothing that is done to me, to feel nothing done against me. It is to be at rest when nobody praises me, and when I am blamed or despised. It is to have a blessed home in the Lord, where I can go in and shut the door, and kneel to my Father in secret, and am at peace as in a deep sea of calmness, when all around and above is trouble. ~Andrew Murray

Prayer Fuel: Lord, as I pray for Your Church and my brothers and sisters around the world, help me to do this with a clean heart. I know that my life is not yet perfected to the image of Jesus and that You continue to work in me. Help me to view others with Your grace, mercy, and love. Prayer Pointer: Pride must die in you, or nothing of heaven can live in you. ~Andrew Murray

Prayer Fuel: Lord, I recognize You as a jealous and avenging God(Nahum 1:2) Who fiercely loves Your Church. Thank You for fiercely loving me and for fighting for me that I will bring forth the image of Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. As You Have Time: Listen to Our Battle Strategy by Max Lucado

Prayer Pointer: Each time, before you intercede, be quiet first, and worship God in His glory. Think of what He can do, and how He delights to hear the prayers of His redeemed people. Think of your place and privilege in Christ, and expect great things! ~Andrew Murray

Prayer Fuel: Let Your Light shine upon me and my brothers and sisters across the world. The only true “prosperity” is in the abundant life that You provide through Jesus Christ. Help us to walk in Your light today! (add your own prayers) Show Us Your Glory, Lord as Your Light Dawns!

As You Have Time: Worship Song for today: Shine a Light

Prayer Pointer: Humility is nothing but the disappearance of self in the vision that God is all. ~Andrew Murray

Prayer Fuel: Lord, help me to understand in a greater way that the victory does not come in my own strength. It is Your Sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17) that I am to wield in the spiritual battles that I face. You have won the victory over sin and death at the Cross. Thank You! As You Have Time: 7 Bible Verses about the Sword of the Spirit

Prayer Pointer: The highest glory of the creature is in being only a vessel, to receive and enjoy and show forth the glory of God. It can do this only as it is willing to be nothing in itself, that God may be all. Water always fills first the lowest places. The lower, the emptier a man lies before God, the speedier and the fuller will be the inflow of the diving glory. ~Andrew Murray

As we come to another weekend, consider our journal question this week one more time and compile your thoughts. Do these thoughts inspire any further prayer?

I encourage you to take time this weekend for corporate prayer and worship. Take time to rest in the Lord. Keep praying: Show Us Your Glory, Lord as Your Light Dawns!

Next Bible/prayer prompts will be posted on Monday, November 20, 2023 at midnight.
