Show Us Your Glory, Lord… July 8-14, 2024

Dear praying friends,

I am preparing to host a mission team here in Laramie this week as I write this. They are coming with the sole purpose of praying for our city, state and nation. I feel a great sense of anticipation as they come! I feel that the Lord is laying a “banquet table” for us. Please pray for this team as they come from out of state and around the state. Please continue praying with us this week: Show Us Your Glory, Lord, as we sing a new song! Pray on, friends! Gina

Sing to the Lord a new song,
his praise from the ends of the earth,
you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it,
you islands, and all who live in them. ~Isaiah 42:10

Monday, July 8, 2024 : Psalm 150:1-6

Prayer Pointer: The realization that you don’t have the necessary power to prevail means that you must pray without ceasing, relying on God’s strength, particularly as you face spiritual battles. ~Bill Elliff

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, don’t let our praise and worship of You begin and end in our church sanctuaries. Help all who are called by Your Name to live a life of worship. Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord! I do and I praise You! Show Us Your Glory, Lord, as we sing a new song!

Think/Journal/Apply: What’s one step I can take today to “press on” in my journey with Christ?

As You Have Time: Think about this: When Christ finished his work on earth, and was received into his glory in heaven, the church began to sing a new song unto him, and to bless his name. His apostles and evangelists showed forth his salvation among the heathen, his wonders among all people. All the earth is here summoned to worship the Lord. We must worship him in the beauty of holiness, as God in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself. Glorious things are said of him, both as motives to praise and matter of praise. ~Matthew Henry’s Commentary on Psalm 96:1-9

Are YOU singing a new song?
