Show Us Your Glory, Lord… July 22-28, 2024

Dear praying friends,

As I turned to my prayer journal today, the page that fell open brought me back to Jesus as our “Good Shepherd.” Shepherds are watchmen, reminding me that the Lord is the “watchman” of my life. My Good Shepherd makes sure that I have what I need and He knows when I should rest. I noticed that in my journal on June 4, I penned the question: “What does real rest look like?” I’m going to pray about that again this week and I sense that we all need the real rest that the Good Shepherd provides. Let’s focus on His ability to shepherd us and let’s continue praying : Show Us Your Glory, Lord, as we sing a new song! It’s a new week.. pray on, friends! Gina

Sing to the Lord a new song,
his praise from the ends of the earth,
you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it,
you islands, and all who live in them. ~Isaiah 42:10

Monday, July 22, 2024 : Let’s get to know our Good Shepherd again! Psalm 23:1-2

Prayer Pointer: In the vast landscape of Christian symbolism, few images resonate as deeply as that of Jesus as the Good Shepherd. Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, thank You for being my Good Shepherd and taking care of my needs. You know when I need to rest. Thank You for Your call to “lie down.” Help me when I rebel and seek my own ways.
