Dear Praying Friends, This morning as I prayed, I believe the Lord spoke these words to me: “In the midst of your rain, He REIGNS!” I hope this encourages you as it does me. Take some time this week to listen quietly for His voice. He tells us in Psalm 46:10: “Be still, and know that I am God;
    I will be exalted among the nations,
    I will be exalted in the earth.” (emphasis mine)

I know that many eyes are on the news and the nation this week as we have a transition of administration. It is important to make the “Good News” (the Bible) your primary news source. I’m praying alot and I encourage you to join me.

I pray that all of my brothers and sisters everywhere will walk in Your peace today at all times and in every way. In this time of contention in our Nation, the USA, please help us to continue in prayer asking for Your Kingdom to Come and Your will to be done. Think/Journal/Apply: What burden can I pour out to God today, trusting that He hears and cares? 

As You Have Time: Take some time today if you are able to “practice” silence. Yes, I think we’d all agree that silence is hard and it takes practice. Try setting you timer for 5 minutes (or more as you grow in the ability to be still! We need to learn to practice silence. You may want to start by simply saying, “Speak, Lord, your servant is listening.” Ok…ready, set, go!

Just like a beautiful bud of flower begins to open into greater beauty, please let this little “reach” to You with small faith, bloom into a beautiful sense of Your peace in my heart. Today, as you are able, please take a moment and pray for FAMILIES. Pray especially for the families in your neighborhood and your workplace to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus.
