Rhythms of Grace… Praying Kingdom Prayers for Everywhere!

Show Us Your Glory, Lord…Help us to THRIVE in 2025 and help us to leave the old behind!
A song that fits our Theme…Open the Heavens…show us Your glory!
Dear Praying Friends, This past week the Lord took me back to the theme of “Egypt” in the Bible. A few weeks ago, I was studying what Egypt represents and found this: While initially seen as a place of refuge in famine or threat, Egypt becomes a place of oppression and slavery. For New Testament believers, Egypt represents our old life of slavery to sin. I find it interesting that the place that started as refuge ended up as oppression. It makes me think about the places where we, the people of God, may be refusing to move forward into the greater promises of God. Are there “old wineskins” that become oppressive in our lives? I imagine so! So let’s keep praying and asking God for a greater sense of His presence and glory in our lives individually and corporately.
During February let’s pray:
Show Us Your Glory, Lord…Help us to THRIVE in 2025 and help us to leave the old behind!
Pray on, Saints! ~Gina
Monday, February 3, 2025: 2 Corinthians 3:17
Prayer Pointer: Today, you don’t have to pretend you’re not worried. Instead, your Father invites you to bring every concern to Him, knowing He cares about everything that concerns you. -Our Daily Verse
Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, teach me and my brothers and sisters what it means to walk in Your freedom. Help us to be free from the things that still oppress our spiritual lives. (add your own prayers) Show Us Your Glory, Lord…And Help Us to THRIVE in 2025 and help us to leave the old behind!
Think/Journal/Apply: How does God want me to live out His purpose today?
As You Have Time: Take some time today as you are able to “practice” silence. Yes, I think we’d all agree that silence is hard and it takes practice. Try setting your timer for 5 minutes or more as you grow in the ability to be still! We need to learn to practice silence. You may want to start by simply saying, “Speak, Lord, your servant is listening.” Ok…ready, set, go!
A worship song for today: It is Well
