Show Us Your Glory, Lord…

March 17-23,2025

Dear Praying Friends, I am always amazed when God changes things up! I have to admit that I get a bit “religious” in my prayer life, always tending to do things the same way. I imagine that even God might get “bored” with my prayer life sometimes because it can lack fire and passion. But the God I serve is a BIG GOD, much BIGGER than my imagination can even grasp. This week, I feel that the Lord is saying, “You are talking about being still, so now be still!” So this week, I am only going to post one scripture/prayer prompt and ask you to let it settle into your spirit all week long. Use it as often or as little as the Holy Spirit directs. If you know Jesus, you have the Holy Spirit to guide you. And YES…do take some time to just “be” with the Lord!

Monday, March 17-23, 2025: BE STILL!

Prayer Pointer: Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; Psalm 37:7a

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, this week, as I wait upon You, help me to wait upon You. You know that in this busy world, waiting and stillness are hard to practice. Teach me, Lord, how to truly be still before You and to wait upon Your direction for my steps. (add your own prayers) Show Us Your Glory, Lord… Help Us to THRIVE in 2025 and help us to BE STILL and KNOW!

Think/Journal/Apply: What might I eliminate from my schedule this week to give me more time to be still with God?

As You Have Time: Take some time each day to “practice” silence. Yes, I think we’d all agree that silence is hard and it takes practice. Try setting your timer for 5 minutes or more as you grow in the ability to be still! We need to learn to practice silence. You may want to start by simply saying, “Speak, Lord, your servant is listening.” Ok…ready, set, go!

Continue praying and asking God to open your heart with a greater understanding of what it means to be still before Him. Continue “practicing” His presence!
