Prayer prompts for April 7-13, 2025

Dear Praying Friends…As I write this, I think of all of you and I am praying for you now. I pray that the words and scriptures here will flow from God’s heart. He has a HEART for each of you. It is His HEART that loved the world so much that He sent Jesus to die for the world. I pray that you will come into a very intimate and personal relationship with the One who has a HEART for you and loves you. May this week take each of us into a deeper relationship with Him! I shared with you that I have recently read the Beatitudes again and they are the inspiration for this month’s prayer prompt. Let’s keep praying this month for the Lord to teach us about what it means to be truly “Blessed!”

Monday, April 7, 2025: Matthew 5:3

Prayer Pointer: Glorifying God isn’t about grand gestures. It’s about quiet faithfulness. It’s listening when you’d rather speak. Choosing patience when you’re tired. Serving when no one sees. These small moments reflect what He is like. -Our Daily Verse

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, what does it mean to be “poor in spirit”? I want to know Your Kingdom in my life more and more and realize that means “dying” to myself. Is that right thinking? (add your own prayers) Show Us Your Glory, Lord… Help Us to THRIVE in 2025 and help us to walk as “blessed”!

Think/Journal/Apply: What small area of my life have I overlooked as a place to glorify God? 

As You Have Time: Take some time each day to “practice” silence. Yes, I think we’d all agree that silence is hard and it takes practice. Try setting your timer for 5 minutes or more as you grow in the ability to be still! We need to learn to practice silence. You may want to start by simply saying, “Speak, Lord, your servant is listening.” Ok…ready, set, go!

Tuesday, April 8, 2025: Matthew 5:4

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord,I really don’t understand the power of mourning. I see in Matthew 5:4 You show me that my mourning leads to Your comfort. That is a rather strange concept to me. In a world that doesn’t encourage me to be transparent, so often, I surpress my mourning. Thank You, for always being there for me when I am on the mountain shouting “hallelujah” and when I am in the valley mourning. Prayer Pointer: Consider the farmer who, amidst the toil and tears, plants his seeds with the faith of a future harvest. So are we called to live our lives, planting seeds of faith, love, and perseverance, even when the soil of our circumstances feels barren and unyielding. It’s a divine principle woven into the fabric of creation: that after every night comes the dawn, after every winter comes the spring. -Our Daily Verse

Prayer “Fuel”: Meek? The world tells me to be tough, not meek. And yet, Lord Jesus, I see that You are the meek One. Teach me, Lord, to be like You. (add your own prayers) Show Us Your Glory, Lord… Help Us to THRIVE in 2025 and help us to walk as “blessed”!

Think/Journal/Apply: Is there someone who needs a kind word? How can I deliver that?
