When You Can’t Fight the Good Fight…
Dear Praying Friends,
I listened to a song this morning that says that God will fight for me when I can’t fight for myself. But then I thought, “Am I supposed to be fighting for myself?” Scripture does tell us to “fight the good fight of faith.”(1 Timothy 6:12) But I have always felt that is not possible without the power of the Holy Spirit. So what do we do when we can’t fight? Well, I’ll tell you what I do…I pray again. I cry out to God again. I recognize again that He is my all in all and that I can’t really do this thing called faith without Him. As I have been pondering all of this today, I did a search on “weakness.” One of my favorite “findings” is from the Apostle Paul: “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10.
