Dear Praying Friends, I am a little “late” to the game but sitting here seeking the Lord for the whole week. I hope a few will join me this week in prayer as we continue to navigate these chaotic times. When I awoke on Sunday, March 2, I felt like the Lord was telling me to be still. Stillness is difficult for me and I have to be intentional in practicing it. This week, I’m hopeful to spend more time in silence and stillness so that discernment will come. I invite you to do the same.

Monday, March 3, 2025: BE STILL! Psalm 46:10

Prayer Pointer: To abide in Jesus is to make Him your home—not a guest you visit when you have time. It’s choosing daily dependence over occasional check-ins. It’s trusting Him in both the abundance and the drought.-Our Daily Verse

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, as we begin a new month, we all feel the chaos around us in our Nation and our world. You have told us to embrace stillness and waiting but I admit that I don’t know how. Show me and my brothers and sisters everywhere how to enter into quiet fellowship with You so that we can hear Your still, small voice. (add your own prayers) Show Us Your Glory, Lord… Help Us to THRIVE in 2025 and help us to BE STILL and KNOW!

Think/Journal/Apply: What am I looking to for satisfaction? 

As You Have Time: Take some time today to “practice” silence. Yes, I think we’d all agree that silence is hard and it takes practice. Try setting your timer for 5 minutes or more as you grow in the ability to be still! We need to learn to practice silence. You may want to start by simply saying, “Speak, Lord, your servant is listening.” Ok…ready, set, go!

Tuesday, March 4, 2025: BE STILL! Psalm 37:7

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, as I continue to be still and wait upon You, please help me to enter the peace that goes beyond my understanding. Help me to find my rest in Your gracious and loving arms. As You Have Time: Pray for your CITY: Heavenly Father, Open our hearts to the needs of others in our city. Teach us the value of compassion and selfless service. May we be quick to lend a helping hand to the homeless, the hungry, and the marginalized among us. Let us be living examples of your love and kindness, showing grace to all who cross our paths. Saturday & Sunday, March 8 & 9, 2025: Sabbath

Continue praying and asking God to open your heart with a greater understanding of what it means to be still before Him. Take some time this weekend to rest and reflect. Review the scriptures of the week and think about how far the Lord has brought you. Join others in worship if you are able and share your findings with others. Talk about Jesus!
