Show Us Your Glory, Lord… October 21-27, 2024

A song that fits our Theme…Open the Heavens…show us Your glory!

Welcome, October!

Let’s Pray:

SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD, as we are filled with the Holy Spirit!

Dear praying friends,

I have been reminded in these last couple of days that God wants me to pray more than “daily bread” prayers. (Matthew 6:11) Yes, I can ask Him to provide what I need. But if that is all I pray about, my prayer life is very shallow. He also commands us to pray Kingdom prayers. (Matthew 6:10) Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to help us to ask God for things that honor His Kingdom as we keep on praying: SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD, as we are filled with the Holy Spirit!

Pray on, Saints! ~Gina

Feel like you’re hanging on by a thread? I hope this will encourage you :Prayer Cast #3: Don’t Just Survive…THRIVE!

Welcome, September!

Let’s Pray:

Show Us Your Glory, Lord as We Look to You in Hope!

Dear praying friends, I know that the world that we are living in can be very discouraging sometimes. Especially in this time of political unrest, it is easy to fall into hopelessness. I encourage you to keep on praying. We were reminded on our recent prayer journey to San Diego that we are on a Battleship, not a Cruise Ship. But we must remember that we are praying from a position of VICTORY. Don’t give up! And… let’s keep praying this month: Show Us Your Glory, Lord as We Look to You in Hope!

Show Us Your Glory, Lord… September 3-8, 2024

Welcome, September!

Let’s Pray:

Show Us Your Glory, Lord as We Look to You in Hope!

Dear praying friends,

Before posting a new theme each month on this prayer blog, I pray. HOPE seems to be God’s message right now. I know that the world would try to fill all of us with hopelessness as we watch so much turmoil being heralded through various news sources. I believe that is why the Lord is reminding me, and He wants me to remind you, that our hope is in Him. Let’s be sure that our spiritual “house” is built on the ROCK…JESUS CHRIST! Let’s meditate on hopeful promises from His Word! And let’s pray this month: Show Us Your Glory, Lord as We Look to You in Hope!

Show Us Your Glory, Lord… August 26-31, 2024

In August, let’s pray:

Show Us Your Glory, Lord, as we COMMIT to walk with You!

Dear praying friends, This past week I found myself hitting a spiritual “wall”. Perhaps you did, too. As I prayed about it, I felt the Lord speaking to me again about entering His rest. I have a hard time resting because I am a hard worker. But there needs to be a right “rhythm” of work and rest. As I prepared to write this week’s posts (I usually write on Sundays weekly) this morning one of my scripture readings included Hebrews 4 . The title of this chapter is “The Promised Rest”. I have to respond, “I hear You, Lord” and “I’m sorry, Lord, for not resting in You as I should.” And so this week, our posts will help us to “pray through” Hebrews 4. I expect to hear from the Lord and I hope that you come with expectancy, too. And as we finish August, let’s pray again this week: Show Us Your Glory, Lord, as we COMMIT to walk with You!

Pray on, Saints! ~Gina

Show Us Your Glory, Lord… August 19-25, 2024

In August, let’s pray:

Show Us Your Glory, Lord, as we COMMIT to walk with You!

Dear praying friends, I feel like time is moving faster and faster! Perhaps we are approaching the “culmination” of the ages and the return of Christ. I would not even attempt to predict the date of His return, but I think we would all agree that it is sooner than when He left us and returned to Heaven. Let’s live every day as though He is coming TODAY! I read a scripture from 1 Corinthians 2 today that really struck me. I feel that this week we should take a deeper “dive” into this chapter of scripture and pray from there. And let’s keep praying for students, teachers, and parents as the kids return to school. Remember in August that we are also praying: Show Us Your Glory, Lord, as we COMMIT to walk with You!
