Show Us Your Glory, Lord… June 24-30, 2024

Dear Praying Friends~ My husband Stan and I have been through a year of great trials. As I write this post, the Lord is reminding me that our enemy, satan, tries to “overshadow” His glory by tempting us to keep our eyes on the troubles we face. I’m challenging myself as I write this, to keep on “blessing” the Lord because His Light will light up every shadow. Let’s keep praying through Psalm 103 this week and let’s keep praying…Show Us Your Glory, Lord as we Seek Your Kingdom First! Pray on, Saints! ~Gina

Show Us Your Glory, Lord… June 17-23, 2024

Dear Praying Friends~ Had some strange thoughts this week about the “robotic” calls I sometimes get on my cell phone. And then I wondered if that’s how I sound before the Throne sometimes…just saying the words with no real feeling behind them. I think we’d all agree that sometimes our prayer life feels “dry” and it is easy to just give “lip service” to our GREAT and MIGHTY, LORD. In my Bible reading today, I read Psalm 103 again and it seems like the perfect place to settle in this week and to commit to “Bless the Lord, O (our) souls;
And all that is within (us), bless His holy name!” Psalm 103:1 NKJV (adapted) And let’s keep praying…Show Us Your Glory, Lord as we Seek Your Kingdom First! Pray on, Saints! ~Gina

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, what does it mean to “bless” You with ALL that is within me? I’m sorry for the times when my prayers just become “lip service” and don’t come from a heart filled with praise. Help me, Holy Spirit, to truly surrender again today and to lay my ALL on the altar. And help my brothers and sisters all over the world to do the same. (add your response) Show Us Your Glory, Lord, as we seek Your Kingdom FIRST!

Show Us Your Glory, Lord… May 27-31, 2024

Dear Praying Friends, It is hard to believe that May is almost over. It has been good for me to read through Acts again this month and I hope you have found it life-giving. Another scripture that spoke to me this week was Psalm 143:10: Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; may Your good Spirit lead me on level ground. I had some new revelation! I see that God wants to teach me. He is the One who trains me in His will and His ways, AND it looks like it is OK to ask for level ground. I’m going to do that and I’m going to keep pressing on and praying: SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE SHARE FELLOWSHIP IN YOUR CHURCH! I invite you to join me! Blessings~Gina

Lord, I pray that though they are experiencing horror, they will not lose hope but that they will have the grace to endure. Show Us Your Glory, Lord… May 20-26, 2024

Dear Praying Friends, This week, I found myself in an unexpected storm. As I was leaving the market, it was sprinkling, but by the time I got to my car, it was pouring! It made me think of the spiritual “storms” that sometimes arise in our lives, seemingly out of nowhere. The Lord is reminding me that He is the Lord even of the storm. Remember that in scripture, He spoke peace to the storm. The new Church in the Book of Acts faced stormy days, too. God kept them strong so that even today we hold to God’s Word. Let’s keep pressing on and let’s keep praying: SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE SHARE FELLOWSHIP IN YOUR CHURCH! Blessings~Gina

Help us to be faithful until You return. Help us to be about Your Kingdom work everyday. And when we gather with each other, let the flame in each of us be strengthened. Show Us Your Glory, Lord… May 13-19, 2024

Dear Praying Friends, I’m looking back today at some journaling I did in 2017 & 2018. One of the questions I posed then, I pose again today: “How do I consider trials pure joy?” As I look at this old journal, I see that I had many trials back then, just as I do today. But I don’t recall what they all were because obviously the Lord brought answers. The Church in the Book of Acts had many trials, too. As we continue in their “journal” and pray through Acts, let’s keep praying: SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE SHARE FELLOWSHIP IN YOUR CHURCH! Blessings~Gina

Prayer Pointer:

“God loves faith so much that He will test it to the breaking point so as to keep it pure and strong.” ~John Piper

Prayer “Fuel”:

Lord, In Acts 10:28, Peter shares Your message with us: We should not “call anyone impure or unclean.” Thank You for extending Your salvation beyond the Jewish people and inviting us to join Your Family. Help us see others as those You have created and those You have died for. Help us to invite others to know Your love as we do! And when we gather with each other, let the flame in each of us be strengthened. (add your own response) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE SHARE FELLOWSHIP IN YOUR CHURCH!

Think/Journal/Apply:

Is there someone that God really wants me to “see” today? Ask Him!

Prayer Pointer:

A believer may pass through much affliction, and yet secure very little blessing from it all. Abiding in Christ is the secret of securing all that the Father meant the chastisement to bring us.

– Andrew Murray

Prayer “Fuel”:

Lord, In Acts 11, criticism has come between Your believers. How well we know this in the Church of today. Help us to pray for one another. Holy Spirit help us to stay in perfect unity to accomplish God’s purposes. When we don’t understand one another, give us grace to pray and share our hearts. We trust You to bring about Your perfect plans in our midst. (add your own response) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE SHARE FELLOWSHIP IN YOUR CHURCH!

Prayer Pointer:

This might be the simplest, most revolutionary step you can take. Will you ask God to father you? Really? Ask Him every day: Father, I need Your help today. I ask You to father me. ~John Eldredge

Prayer “Fuel”:

Let’s pray for the persecuted Church around the world today: Lord Jesus, we pray for all who are being tortured and persecuted for their faith. Your word promises that your grace is sufficient and that your power is perfected in our weakness. I pray that you will bring tangible comfort and grant them the grace to endure their suffering for you. May they be strengthened in ways that surpass all human understanding to stand strong for you. Help them to have courage, recognizing that you yourself, are their light and salvation, they don’t have to feel afraid, because You are the stronghold of their lives. Lord, I pray that though they are experiencing horror, they will not lose hope but that they will have the grace to endure. Help them not to lose heart and give up their belief in the goodness of God. May their hope be placed confidently in you, and may they echo the words of the Psalmist who wrote, “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living” (Based on 2 Corinthians 12:9Psalm 27:1, 13). ~From Crosswalk (add your own response) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE SHARE FELLOWSHIP IN YOUR CHURCH!

We will stand amazed to see the topside of the tapestry and how God beautifully embroidered each circumstance into a pattern for our good and His glory.

– Joni Eareckson Tada

Prayer “Fuel”:

Lord, give Your Church great discernment as we live in a time with many “false” stories. Help us to continually seek You for truth as we read Your Word and we pray. Protect the youngest disciples from falsehood that may be on the internet. We trust You to help us to understand all that You are telling us. Show Us Your Glory, Lord… May 6-12, 2024

Dear Praying Friends, As I write this, I have just had a morning of Holy Spirit conviction. The Lord reminded me that instead of “rehearsing” what is happening in the darkness, I need to speak the “victory” that comes from His light. I know that many of us are battle-weary and it is easy to become disheartened. My prayer for all of us this week is that we will find Jesus in our fellowship with each other. As we continue through the Book of Acts, let’s keep praying: SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE SHARE FELLOWSHIP IN YOUR CHURCH! Blessings~Gina

Prayer Pointer:

Regardless of how bad things appear, God is greater than any situation. ~Max Lucado

Help us to walk as your “living lampstands” today and every day in a world that desperately needs Your light. Help us not “rehearse” the deeds of darkness but bring Your Light everywhere we go! And when we gather with each other, let the flame in each of us be strengthened. (add your own response) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE SHARE FELLOWSHIP IN YOUR CHURCH!

Show us Your Glory, Lord… May 1-5,2024

Dear Praying Friends, As I write this, I am still fervently praying for the upcoming National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 2, 2024. This is the 73rd annual National Day of Prayer. Other Nations will be praying with us and for us. The battles have been pretty intense as we have prepared and I ask for your continuing prayers for the day and beyond. I think we would all agree that America needs our prayers. This month, I will add to our prayer prompt the last component from the dream that I had in December 2023: FELLOWSHIP. I feel that we should pray through the Book of Acts during May to contemplate what His early Church looked like. I invite you to join me in May as we pray: SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE SHARE FELLOWSHIP IN YOUR CHURCH!

Pray on, Saints! ~Gina

May we engage in more prayer in MAY! Let’s see our Churches truly become Houses of Prayer!

Prayer Pointer: It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. Acts 1:7

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, help us to keep our eyes upon You as we wait for Your return. Help us to not be so concerned about the day and the hour, but to live each “today” in Your presence and power. We trust You to lead us each day by Your Spirit. Help us to walk in the Spirit! (add your own responsive prayers) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE SHARE FELLOWSHIP IN YOUR CHURCH!

Think/Journal/Apply: Am I ready and willing to obey God today?

As you have time: Worship Song: Almost Home (I love this one!)

Prayer Pointer: “To get nations back on their feet, we must first get down on our knees.” – Billy Graham

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, as thousands of prayers are offered today for our Nation, bring a holy “hush”. Show every person in our borders that You are Lord and that You are returning someday. You have told us that You don’t want anyone to be lost, so we ask You to give us the heart to pray for those who are lost. And as the whole world pauses to pray for the USA, help us also to pause to pray for this world that You love. (add your own responsive prayers) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE SHARE FELLOWSHIP IN YOUR CHURCH!

Think/Journal/Apply: Consider praying with the 7×7 prayer guide . This is a great guide to pray year-round. Journal your thoughts as you pray.

As you have time: Participate in the National Broadcast, Thursday, May 2 at 8pm ET. You can find broadcast details here.

Prayer Pointer: They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:42

Help us not to be too busy to be together! (add your own responsive prayers) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE SHARE FELLOWSHIP IN YOUR CHURCH!

Think/Journal/Apply: Is there someone I should reach out to today? Fellowship is important.
