Show Us Your Glory, Lord… November 13-19, 2023

Dear Praying Friends~Do you ever feel “threadbare”? As I continue to ask the Lord to “pour” me out into the world for His glory, I often feel empty. That “emptiness” is the reminder to get back into my “prayer chair” with the Lord to allow Him to fill me up again. I hope that you have a special place where You meet with the Lord regularly. This is not a time to run on “empty.” Ask Him to fill you again with His Spirit. We will continue to meditate and pray from John 1:5&14 this month along with other scriptures about God’s light. Let’s keep praying: Show Us Your Glory, Lord as Your Light Dawns! Blessings~Gina

Prayer Pointer: We must begin to believe that God, in the mystery of prayer, has entrusted us with a force that can move the Heavenly world, and can bring its power down to earth. ~Andrew Murray

Prayer Fuel: Lord, I know that You dwell in absolute LIGHT. You are the LIGHT. Please continue to reveal Your deep and profound truths to me so that I can walk with You more nearly and love You more dearly. (add your own prayers) Show Us Your Glory, Lord as Your Light Dawns!

Think/Journal/Apply: Where do I need more Holy Spirit courage to walk with the Lord?

As You Have Time: Read Daniel 12:10

Prayer Pointer: Humility is perfect quietness of heart. It is to expect nothing, to wonder at nothing that is done to me, to feel nothing done against me. It is to be at rest when nobody praises me, and when I am blamed or despised. It is to have a blessed home in the Lord, where I can go in and shut the door, and kneel to my Father in secret, and am at peace as in a deep sea of calmness, when all around and above is trouble. ~Andrew Murray

Prayer Fuel: Lord, as I pray for Your Church and my brothers and sisters around the world, help me to do this with a clean heart. I know that my life is not yet perfected to the image of Jesus and that You continue to work in me. Help me to view others with Your grace, mercy, and love. Prayer Fuel: Lord, help me to understand in a greater way that the victory does not come in my own strength. It is Your Sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17) that I am to wield in the spiritual battles that I face. You have won the victory over sin and death at the Cross. Thank You! (add your own prayers) Show Us Your Glory, Lord as Your Light Dawns!

As You Have Time: 7 Bible Verses about the Sword of the Spirit

Prayer Pointer: The highest glory of the creature is in being only a vessel, to receive and enjoy and show forth the glory of God. It can do this only as it is willing to be nothing in itself, that God may be all. Water always fills first the lowest places. The lower, the emptier a man lies before God, the speedier and the fuller will be the inflow of the diving glory. ~Andrew Murray

Dear praying friends~ I feel like a woman of few words as I write this. It seems our whole world has changed in an instant with wars and other disastrous events. I am grateful that I know the King of Kings and Lord of Lords who is firmly on His Throne. Oh, how I love Jesus! If you are finding yourself afraid today, I remind you to begin to worship Him anew. Prayer pointer/promises: “Prayer is both conversation and encounter with God. . . . We must know the awe of praising his glory, the intimacy of finding his grace, and the struggle of asking his help, all of which can lead us to know the spiritual reality of his presence.” Tim Keller

Prayer “Fuel”: Prayer points this week with scriptures will be taken from Intercessory Prayer Guide for Israel from The Jewish Voice: Lord, thank You that we can come and present these requests. We worship and praise You because You are the LORD God of Israel. Pray:

That people and nations will take this Scripture to heart and bless Israel, thus receiving a blessing and not a curse (Genesis 12:3)
That the nations would understand the depth of God’s wrath against those who don’t
follow Him (Isaiah 60:12)
For God to keep a watchful eye over His People, and bind the schemes and resources of their enemies so they can do them no harm (Zechariah 12:1-5; Psalm 91) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD and LET YOUR KINGDOM COME!

Think/Journal/Apply: What is on my mind today? How can I turn this over to the Lord?

As You Have Time: Worship Song: Forever Good

Saturday & Sunday, October 14 & 15, 2023: Read 1 Chronicles 29:11

I hope you will take some time for corporate prayer and worship this weekend. The Body Of Christ needs to be fully functional TOGETHER, young and old, male and female, WORSHIPPING OUR GOD! SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD and LET YOUR KINGDOM COME!

Bible and prayer prompts for the week of October 16-22, 2023 will post at midnight on Monday, October 16. Keep praying!

Show Us Your Glory, Lord October 1-8,2023

Dear Praying Saints, I have been in a deep season of prayer for His Church in the earth. Our Lord is coming through with Refiner’s Fire so that His Bride will be presented one day without spot or wrinkle. It is important that each of us submit to the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. The Heavenly Father that I know is a Good, GOOD Father who loves me and wants what is best for me. He wants what is best for you, too. This month we will pray from 1 Chronicles 29:11 every day: Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom;  you are exalted as head over all. This week we will also be praying through Psalm 122. I encourage you to submit more fully this month to Holy Spirit as we pray on…SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD and LET YOUR KINGDOM COME! Have a blessed and prayerful week, Gina

Sunday, October 1, 2023: Read 1 Chronicles 29:11, Psalm 122

As we begin a new month, I encourage you today to pray for your church and its leadership. October is Pastor Appreciation Month. If you have a Pastor in your life, consider an act of kindness this month. If you are able, I also encourage you to gather with others today or this week in corporate prayer and worship.

Monday, October 2, 2023: Read 1 Chronicles 29:11, Psalm 122:1

Prayer Pointer/Promises: Building material wealth in this life is relatively unimportant compared to laying up treasures in heaven. Jesus is giving us the kingdom. He is giving us eternal life, the hope of heaven. What we have now is a temporary thing. What we will have for all eternity is the important thing. ~Harvest Prayer Lay Up Treasure in Heaven

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, I know that someday when I am fully experiencing Your Kingdom, I will have complete joy. You know that in the “house of the Lord” here on earth, our joy is incomplete because we are incomplete. Help me and all my brothers and sisters worldwide to submit to Your Holy Spirit so that we can experience more of Your Kingdom here today. (add your own prayers) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD and LET YOUR KINGDOM COME!

Think/Journal/Apply: Consider places where you struggle with your church fellowship. Write a prayer for those places.

As you have time: Worship Song: The More I Seek You

Tuesday, October 3, 2023: Read 1 Chronicles 29:11, Psalm 122:2

Prayer Pointer/Promises: It seems significant that when we lay up treasures in heaven it is for ourselves. What we invest in eternal values will be returned to us personally. The point Jesus is making is that worldly treasures are corruptible. They deteriorate. Thieves steal them. Treasures laid up in heaven have a security that remains, like nothing on earth. ~Harvest Prayer Lay Up Treasure in Heaven

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, I know that someday when I am fully experiencing Your Kingdom, I will be completely present in Your gates. As I still abide on “this side” of Heaven, help me to store up treasures in Heaven by being obedient to Your every command. I love You, Lord! Thank You for loving me! (add your own prayers) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD and LET YOUR KINGDOM COME!

Think/Journal/Apply: Am I seeking God’s Kingdom first?

As you have time: Repeat Worship Song: The More I Seek You

Wednesday, October 4, 2023: Read 1 Chronicles 29:11, Psalm 122:3-4

Prayer Pointer/Promises: How do we lay up treasure in heaven? Giving to advance the work of the kingdom of God is one obvious way. Working to build godly character is another, developing minds that can enjoy great thoughts of God and hearts that transcend selfishness by doing loving acts of service. Such treasures have eternal value, and will abide forever.~Harvest Prayer Lay Up Treasure in Heaven

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, I know that someday when I am fully experiencing Your Kingdom, I will truly be part of the great cloud of witnesses that is made of every tribe and every tongue. I long for that day, Lord. I long for more of You. As I still “abide on this side”, help me to store up treasures in Heaven by being obedient to Your every command. I love You, Lord! Thank You for loving me! (add your own prayers) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD and LET YOUR KINGDOM COME!

Think/Journal/Apply: What should I do today to draw close to God?

As you have time: Repeat Worship Song: The More I Seek You

Thursday, October 5, 2023: Read 1 Chronicles 29:11, Psalm 122:5-6

Prayer Pointer/Promises: In Matthew 6:19, Jesus not only tells us what we should obey, but also what we should not do: “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth. . . . But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven.” Earthly treasures can be destroyed, consumed, or stolen; however, heavenly rewards cannot. Where we store the things we treasure will show the Father what we value, because our hearts will be tied to either earth or heaven.~Harvest Prayer Lay Up Treasure in Heaven

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, I know that someday when I am fully experiencing Your Kingdom, I will see You face to face. What an exciting day that will be! I long for that day, Lord. I long for more of You. I pray for the peace of Jerusalem today because You command me to do that in Psalm 122. Remind me often to do this. I love You, Lord! Thank You for loving me! (add your own prayers) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD and LET YOUR KINGDOM COME!

Think/Journal/Apply: Do I recognize myself as the “temple” of God? Why or why not?

As you have time: Study Guide for Psalm 122 from Blue Letter Bible

Friday, October 6, 2023: Read 1 Chronicles 29:11, Psalm 122: 7-9

Prayer Pointer/Promises: As you go through this day, ask God to reveal to you what it means to pray, “Father, glorify Your name.” Ask Him to give you concrete ways that you can live out your prayer. In essence, you will be asking God to be so very present in and through you that every action will be impacted by His presence. How would God’s name be glorified in your water-cooler conversation? How would God be glorified as you are visiting with your neighbor? How would God’s name be glorified at your workplace or your school? Ask Him to reveal that, and pray the first line of the Lord’s prayer at each place. ~Harvest Prayer Glorify Your Name

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, Yours is the Kingdom! Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power
and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. I long to worship You in Spirit and in Truth. (add your own prayers) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD and LET YOUR KINGDOM COME!

Think/Journal/Apply: Where can I share my faith today? Am I willing? Why or why not?

As you have time: Repeat Worship Song: The More I Seek You

Saturday & Sunday, October 7 & 8, 2023: Read 1 Chronicles 29:11, Psalm 122

I encourage you today to pray for the Church and its leadership. October is Pastor Appreciation Month. Who are the pastors in your life? Even those without a “title” formally may be a pastor. If you are able, I also encourage you to gather with others today or this week in corporate prayer and worship.

I hope you have drawn closer to the Lord than ever before. New posts will be available at midnight, Monday, October 9, 2023.

SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD and LET YOUR KINGDOM COME!

Show Us Your Glory, Lord… September 25-30, 2023

Dear precious, praying friends, I write this on the “tail” of returning from the National Prayer Summit last week in Kentucky. I want to encourage you, as we come to the end of another month, that God is moving. I know that some days we all get very battle-weary. Before I had the privilege of speaking to our Nation last week, I asked the Lord for a “word.” All I heard Him say was, “Tell my people that I know that they are battle-weary.” I think that sometimes we are afraid to pour out our hearts to God because we fear it is a lack of faith. But He tells us in Psalm 62:8 that we are to pour out our hearts to Him, not in bitterness or complaint, but in need. And YES, we all are in need! But He is our God who knows our needs and He cares. This week, we will continue in Isaiah 43:18-19 each day and also will pray through Psalm 92. Keep praying, friends, SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE EMBRACE YOUR NEW THING! Have a blessed week! Gina

Monday, September 25, 2023: Read Isaiah 43:18-19, Psalm 92: 1-3

Prayer Pointer/Promises: Ready for good news? Through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, God has rendered the fight we face as His fight too. Because of Jesus, every fight has been ultimately won. Victory? It’s already yours. It’s already mine. ~Jennie Allen in Get Out of Your Head

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, it is GOOD to come to You today as a worshipper. I know that You don’t need my worship but You invite me to worship so that I can encounter Your character. You are a GOOD, GOOD God! Help me, Holy Spirit, to be a PROCLAIMER of the goodness of God everywhere I walk today. (if you are a singer, consider offering praise in a song and of course, add your own prayers!) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE EMBRACE YOUR NEW THING!

Think/journal/apply: Look more closely at today’s scripture, Psalm 92:1-3 asking the Holy Spirit to instruct you and to convict you. Write a prayer in response.

As you have time: Worship Song for Today: O Most High

Tuesday, September 26, 2023: Read Isaiah 43:18-19, Psalm 92: 4-6

Prayer Pointer/Promises: Our moods may shift, but God’s doesn’t. Our minds may change, but God’s doesn’t. Our devotion may falter, but God’s never does. Even if we are faithless, he is faithful, for he cannot betray himself. He is a sure God.  ~Max Lucado

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, You have done so much for me and I say “THANK YOU!” How GREAT are Your works, O Lord! Holy Spirit, I ask You to cause a song of praise to “erupt” in my heart today! Bring a greater revelation of the profound thoughts of my God! (add your own prayers) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE EMBRACE YOUR NEW THING!

Think/journal/apply: Look more closely at today’s scripture, Psalm 92:4-6 asking the Holy Spirit to instruct you and to convict you. Write a prayer in response.

As you have time: Listen to Goodness and Mercy by Max Lucado (1 minute)

Wednesday, September 27, 2023: Read Isaiah 43:18-19, Psalm 92: 7-9

Prayer Pointer/Promises: When the Lord Jesus was living upon earth, His great work was to overcome Satan. When at His baptism He was filled with the Spirit, this fullness of the Spirit brought him into contact with Satan as head of the world of evil spirits, to combat him and to overcome him (Matt. 4:1,10) ~Andrew Murray

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, help me to remember that people are not my enemy. You came to overcome satan, our enemy and to save the world from his hold. Help me to walk in the authority of Your Cross, knowing that I have Your “backing” as I pray in Your Name. In the midst of the battles of this world, help me to exalt You as King of Kings and Lord of Lords! (add your own prayers) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE EMBRACE YOUR NEW THING!

Think/journal/apply: How has God helped you overcome spiritual battles in the past?

As you have time: Pray a spiritual warfare prayer: Strengthen my faith, Lord. Forgive my sins, so that I may be clean in your righteousness. Make me brave, so I can stand and fight the spiritual battles in my life and in our world. Give me your wisdom and discernment so I won’t be caught off guard. Together, Lord, we’ll win, because in truth, you already have. While evil still roams, the power of Your name and Your blood rises up to defeat and bring us victory against every evil planned against us. While malicious actions may disturb us, we use the armor of God You have given us to stand firm. You will bring justice in due time for all the harm and needless violence aimed at Your children. Until then, we remain in Your presence, aligned with Your purposes, and we look to You as our Supreme Commander and Protector. Help us to avoid temptation, and deliver us from evil, Lord. You are the Mighty One, the One Who will ultimately bring all evil to light. With You, Jesus, we are safe. Amen.

Thursday, September 28, 2023: Read Isaiah 43:18-19, Psalm 92: 10-12

Prayer Pointer/Promises: “Each morning bend your heads, ye priests of the Most High, for the fresh anointing for the new ministries that await you. The former grace and strength will not suffice; old texts must be rejuvenated and reminted; old vows must be re-spoken; the infilling of the Holy Spirit must be as vivid, and may be as definite, as at the first.” (Meyer)

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, I receive the fresh anointing of Your Holy Spirit today. Thank You for causing me to “flourish” for Your Kingdom’s purposes today. In the midst of the spiritual battles surrounding me, help me to keep my eyes on You. (add your own prayers) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE EMBRACE YOUR NEW THING!

Think/journal/apply: Am I relying on the fresh anointing of God’s Spirit daily?

As you have time: Worship Song for Today: Fill My Cup, Lord

Friday, September 29, 2023: Read Isaiah 43:18-19, Psalm 92: 13-15

Prayer Pointer/Promises: How are we able to do the kind of works Jesus did? Jesus anticipated this question and addressed it: “I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.” He was saying, “I will be on the throne. You will be on earth. What you ask in my name I will do. That’s how my work will continue.” ~Alvin Vandergriend in The Joy of Prayer

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, teach me what it means to be truly “planted” in Your House. I desire to flourish until the day You take me to Heaven. I want to be about my Father’s business every day while I’m here. Help me to ask in Your Name for Your Kingdom to come and Your will be done. (add your own prayers) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE EMBRACE YOUR NEW THING!

Think/journal/apply: What does it mean to you to be “planted in the house of the Lord?”

As you have time: 10 Verses about God’s People Planted

Saturday, September 30, 2023: Read Isaiah 43:18-19, Psalm 92

Take some time today to rest and review. You don’t always have to be “doing”. Sometimes God just wants you to “be”. If you are able read Psalm 92 again slowly allowing Holy Spirit to inspire more prayer.

New Bible/prayer prompts for October will be posted at midnight on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

Show Us Your Glory, Lord 9/18-24,2023

Dear Praying Friends, As I was driving through a neighborhood recently, out of the corner of my eye, I caught a glimpse of someone cleaning the front picture window of their home. The thought that immediately came to mind was “clearer vision.” Don’t we all want a “clearer vision” when it comes to the business of God’s Kingdom? This week, we will visit Isaiah 43:18-19 again and scriptures focused on “seeing” things from God’s perspective. Let’s keep praying SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD as WE EMBRACE YOUR NEW THING! Blessings, Gina

Monday, September 18, 2023: Read Isaiah 43:18-19, Jeremiah 29:11

Prayer Pointer/Promises: God wants to give you a greater vision of who He is and the plans He has for you. Satan’s goal is to use guilt, insecurity and fears to keep us from growing and living a full, joyful life. You can tap into the power of God’s vision for your life by meditating on Scriptures of promise! ~ Bible Study Tools

Prayer “Fuel”: This prayer is taken from Bible Verses about Vision: Lord, I praise you for inviting me into your eternal purpose. I thank you that you are working out everything in conformity with the purpose of your will (Ephesians 1:11). You are the master strategist. Give me a greater vision of your purpose for my life. Awaken my heart and establish your reign in my life. Out of Your glorious riches strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being and give me a spirit of wisdom and revelation that I may know you better (Ephesians 3:16-17). Make me fully alive to your destiny in my life. Amen.

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, help me to understand that repentance is a good gift. When You show me areas of sin in my life, help me to quickly turn to You, asking Your Holy Spirit to captivate my heart there. I know that I am part of a Bride who will one day be presented “without spot or wrinkle.” (Ephesians 5:27) Give me greater “vision” of what You desire for me. Think/Journal/Apply: Is it hard for me to wait? Why or why not?
