Dear Praying Friends, The last few days I have been struggling with DOUBT. I’m being honest here! I was praying for a miracle for several people and had to battle the thought: CAN GOD REALLY DO THIS? So this week, this is my prayer :
SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD! HELP US TO THRIVE IN 2025 AND HELP OUR UNBELIEF!
Prayer Pointer:…the Bible reminds us that the peace of God transcends all understanding. And so the next time we feel perplexed, it is important to stay planted in God’s Word because He promises to give us peace of mind. ~When You Need God
Prayer Fuel: Lord, when I am afraid of what lies ahead, help me to look back to see Your faithfulness in my life. Forgive me for accepting worry rather than turning to You. (add your own prayers) SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD! HELP US TO THRIVE IN 2025 AND HELP OUR UNBELIEF!
Think/Journal/Apply: Do you believe that prayer can change things? Why or why not?
As You Have Time: Take some time today to “practice” silence. Yes, I think we’d all agree that silence is hard and it takes practice. Try setting your timer for 5 minutes or more as you grow in the ability to be still! We need to learn to practice silence. You may want to start by simply saying, “Speak, Lord, your servant is listening.” Ok…ready, set, go!
SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD! HELP US TO THRIVE IN 2025 AND HELP OUR UNBELIEF!
Note from Gina: Trying something a little different this week with the prayer blog. Rather than grouping all the daily posts together I will try doing separate posts. A bit more work, but we’ll see how it goes. Always trying to listen and discern! Keep praying, friends!
Dear Praying Friends…The National Day of Prayer planning has been very intense this year. After taking some time for that planning, I am returning to praying from the Beatitudes. I invite you to finish praying through them as written in Matthew 5 this week. Please keep praying without ceasing!

Dear Praying Friends, I write mostly to empty out what is in my heart. Today, Good Friday, my heart is heavy. There is snow on the ground here again and that makes life feel a bit challenging. But more than that, I think of the “heaviness” of this day. I remember when we were kids, Mom made us be “quiet” between the hours of 12noon and 3pm when it was said that Jesus died. Even though this is a “heavy” day, let’s not miss the significance of the heaviness that leads us to Resurrection Day on Sunday. Let’s keep praying for our world to have a true encounter with Jesus. Let’s keep praying that we, too, have a renewed encounter with Him.
Show Us Your Glory, Lord and meet with us in this Holy Week.
Lord, You were mocked and crucified for me. You could have come down from that brutal cross, but You chose to stay there for me. I am overwhelmed by Your love.(add your own prayers)
Show Us Your Glory, Lord and meet with us in this Holy Week.
Dear Praying Friends, Don’t stop praying! This week as I have been wearied by the chaos of our world, I can hear God’s whisper:”Don’t give up!” I think about what Jesus must have been thinking and feeling as He knew He would have a last meal with His friends before His death. And yet He wasn’t thinking of Himself but wanted to serve them. I’m asking Him to help me have a servant’s heart, too.
Lord, You are the greatest servant of all of history. Teach us, Your people, how to be more like You with servants’ hearts towards the world.(add your own prayers)
Show Us Your Glory, Lord and meet with us in this Holy Week.
Dear Praying Friends, I am writing this on Holy Monday. Today I was part of a prayer walk at our local Cathedral. It reminded me of the power of praying “onsite with insite.” If you have a chance this week and if your weather allows it, I encourage you to do a bit of “prayer walking” in an area of your community. Ask the Lord to open your eyes to the prayer possibilities that may be there. And don’t miss the opportunity to slow down this week and really prepare for Resurrection Day on April 20. This week, let’s pray:
Show Us Your Glory, Lord, and meet with us in this Holy Week!
Prayer Pointer: God calls all Christians to become more like Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit (2 Cor 3:18). As you take steps to be intentional about your relationship with the Lord, allowing the Holy Spirit to direct your growth, you’ll find transformation happening in the innermost part of your being.~from an article on Logos.com
Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, Help me to “keep watch” this week for the places where You are speaking and moving. Make me and all my brothers and sisters everywhere very aware of Your movement in the earth. (add your own prayers) Show Us Your Glory, Lord, and meet with us in this Holy Week.
Think/journal/apply: Where in my life do I need to allow God to lead me to rest?
Dear Praying Friends, As I write this on Palm Sunday, I have just finished preaching to a group of “the least of these” here in my home town. I was asked to fill in for a pastor friend and it was wonderful and humbling to share a meal and a “spiritual meal” with those who have great need. As I think about Holy Week, I feel an awe, an expectancy and a humbling. Oh, what my Lord suffered because He loves me and you. This week, I will write in several installments as I know the Holy Spirit will be speaking throughout this week. Don’t miss the opportunity to slow down and really prepare for Resurrection Day on April 20. This week, let’s pray:
Show Us Your Glory, Lord, and meet with us in this Holy Week!
Prayer Pointer: When we feel weak, He is our support. When we feel aimless, He is our purpose. When we crave fulfillment, He is the source. -Our Daily Verse
Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, I see You driving out the unclean in the Temple. I am sorry for the “unclean” in my life. Please come with your refining fire this week and help me to be more like You. Show Us Your Glory, Lord, and meet with us in this Holy Week.
Think/journal/apply: During this Holy Week, what competing voices might be drowning out God’s Word in your life?
Dear Praying Friends…As I write this, I think of all of you and I am praying for you now. I pray that the words and scriptures here will flow from God’s heart. He has a HEART for each of you. It is His HEART that loved the world so much that He sent Jesus to die for the world. I pray that you will come into a very intimate and personal relationship with the One who has a HEART for you and loves you. May this week take each of us into a deeper relationship with Him! I shared with you that I have recently read the Beatitudes again and they are the inspiration for this month’s prayer prompt. Let’s keep praying this month for the Lord to teach us about what it means to be truly “Blessed!”

Show Us Your Glory, Lord… Help Us to THRIVE in 2025 and help us to walk as “blessed”!
Prayer Pointer:Glorifying God isn’t about grand gestures. It’s about quiet faithfulness. It’s listening when you’d rather speak. Choosing patience when you’re tired. Serving when no one sees. These small moments reflect what He is like. -Our Daily Verse
Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, what does it mean to be “poor in spirit”? I want to know Your Kingdom in my life more and more and realize that means “dying” to myself. Is that right thinking? (add your own prayers) Show Us Your Glory, Lord… Help Us to THRIVE in 2025 and help us to walk as “blessed”!

Prayer Pointer:“Trying to do the Lord’s work in your own strength is the most confusing, exhausting, and tedious of all work. But when you are filled with the Holy Spirit, then the ministry of Jesus just flows out of you.”
— Corrie Ten Boom
Prayer “Fuel”: Lord,I really don’t understand the power of mourning. I see in Matthew 5:4 You show me that my mourning leads to Your comfort. That is a rather strange concept to me. In a world that doesn’t encourage me to be transparent, so often, I surpress my mourning. Thank You, for always being there for me when I am on the mountain shouting “hallelujah” and when I am in the valley mourning. Dear Praying Friends…Life is hard, but God is GOOD! I was reminded today in a prayer session at our local prayer room that circumstances don’t change Who God is. He is with us in the hard places and in the good places. He hears our slightest “sighs” and our shouts of “Hallelujah!”
This past weekend, as I was preparing to minister to the women of our local jail, I revisited the Beatitudes in Luke 6. They are worth studying and can be found in Matthew 5:3-12, Luke 6:20-23. These are the inspiration for our prayer prompt this month:
Show Us Your Glory, Lord… Help Us to THRIVE in 2025 and help us to walk as “blessed”!
Let’s keep praying this month for the Lord to teach us about what it means to be truly “Blessed!”
Prayer “Pointer”: This is what Chuck Swindoll says about the Beatitudes: these are eight character traits that identify true servanthood. When all eight are mixed together in a life, balance emerges.
Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, help me to see the “hungry” places as places to know You more. Help me to see the sad places as places to rely on Your joy. Help me to surrender my understanding and my will to Your understanding and Your will. I want to be a true servant of Yours. (add your own prayers) Show Us Your Glory, Lord… Help Us to THRIVE in 2025 and help us to walk as “blessed”!
Think/Journal/Apply: How is my understanding of the word “blessed” incorrect?
As You Have Time: Pray for your church (if you have one) and two other churches in Your community: Come, Holy Spirit!

A Song for Today: (inspired by this week’s verses from Luke!) All Heaven Applauds
A Prayer for Today: Lord, help me to understand Your ways over the ways of this world. I truly want to know You! Help my brothers and sisters, too. (add your own praises and prayers) Show Us Your Glory, Lord… Help Us to THRIVE in 2025 and help us to walk as “blessed”!
Isn’t it amazing what we can do from these mini-computers (cell phones) that we carry. I forgot my computer at the office, so I’m starting April with this gadget in my pocket.
As we start April, let’s pray:
Show Us Your Glory, Lord… Help Us to THRIVE in 2025 and help us to walk as “blessed”! (More on that tomorrow)
You’re not God’s disappointment; you’re the reason He came. And He would make that same choice again and again, just to reach you. -Our Daily Verse
Prayer “Starter”: Lord, Your Kingdom is so different than this world’s ways. Help us to really understand that Your ways are higher than ours. (add your own prayers)…Show Us Your Glory, Lord… Help Us to THRIVE in 2025 and help us to walk as “blessed”!
Think/Journal/application: Keep thinking about this… As I begin a new month, what do I need to give to God and entrust to His care?
Dear Praying Friends, As we finish March 2025, we pray on. I have recently really been “wrestling” in prayer. Our Nation and our world seems so “chaotic” during these days. What I do know is that I’m seeking God’s thoughts over the opinions of men. The God that I serve tells me to love Him and to love my neighbor and that is what I’m sincerely praying about. I hope you are, too.
As we finish March, let’s pray this again:
Show Us Your Glory, Lord… Help Us to THRIVE in 2025 and help us to BE STILL and KNOW!
Blessings, Gina
Monday, March 31, 2025! Here we are again: Psalm 46:10
Prayer Fuel:
From His first miracle to His final breath, Jesus revealed the heart of God: not condemnation, but salvation. Not rejection, but restoration. -Our Daily Verse
Prayer “Starter”: Lord, as we come to the end of another month and circle back to Psalm 46:10, we need Your “stillness” as much as we did 30 days ago. Help all of us to embrace Your “stillness” in a world that is full of chaos. Help us as we look to a new month, to carve out good and fruitful times to be with You. (add your own prayers)…Show Us Your Glory, Lord… Help Us to THRIVE in 2025 and help us to BE STILL and KNOW!
Think/Journal/application: As I begin a new month, what do I need to give to God and entrust to His care?
As You Have Time: As You Have Time: Take some time today to “practice” silence.
Goodbye to March 2025!
Next Bible/prayer prompts will be posted on Tuesday, April 1,2025 at midnight!
