Dear Praying Friends, At the beginning of a new year, we all think of things we’d like to change. BUT isn’t it good to know that God does not change?!? Our circumstances come and go but the SAME God helps us through each season. As we look to 2025, let’s continue seeking God in more intimate ways. See below this note for a few prayer resources to help all of us! Remember that He is the VINE from which we must draw our daily strength. Let’s stay connected to Him in prayer:

Worship Song for Today: Goodness of God

Dear Praying friends, It has been good for me to slow down a bit and write just one day at a time on this blog this week. Not sure where we will head in 2025, but God knows. This past Sunday, I heard a good sermon that posed a few striking questions for me. I have included one in the “think/journal/apply” for our Tuesday post. I hope it gets you thinking and praying. I have also included a nation to pray for in that section. Have a great Tuesday! ~Gina

A nation to pray for today— Venezuela: Spiritual forces battle in Venezuela. Both rich and poor visit witch doctors in the thousands of spiritist and occult shops. Fewer people go to church in Venezuela than in any other Latin American nation. Millions of former Catholics chose evangelical faith or no religion at all. Pray for the Holy Spirit to bind all the powers that blind Venezuelans to Truth, and to reveal Christ to all. ~Operation World

Dear Praying friends, This week I spoke with a pastor friend who felt the Lord was telling him, “Believe BIGGER!” That word excites me! I felt the Lord has been telling me that He wants to “prod the prayerless.” If that is you, what is keeping you from praying? Disappointment, fear, anger? Let’s keep pressing into the GOODNESS of God. He is for us and not against us! PRAY ON, FRIENDS!

Dear Praying Friends, I usually write the blog posts for the week on Sunday afternoons. As I prepare to write this week’s posts, I am also preparing my heart to minister on Monday at the Christian School where I live. I am meditating on what is known as the Magnificat, which is Mary’s prayer/poem/hymn of praise found in Luke 1:46–55. You can listen here to a beautiful rendition that I will share with the students. Let’s use this beautiful section of scripture to form our own prayers of praise this week.

Let’s pray this month:

Show Us Your Glory, Lord… November 18-24, 2024

A song that fits our Theme…Open the Heavens…show us Your glory!

Dear Praying Friends,

The first scripture that I wrote in my journal today (11/17) was Psalm 55:22: “Cast your burdens on the Lord, and He will sustain you. He will never permit the righteous to be moved.” I learned the Hebrew word for “sustain” in this verse is “kul” and it is used to describe God’s providential care and support as well as the endurance and maintenance of life and circumstances. Do you feel like some days are hard to endure? Ask the Lord to help you to cast your burdens on Him so that You can receive the sustaining strength that He provides.

Let’s keep praying this month:

Dear Praying Friends,

I am writing this the Sunday before Election Day 2024. It will post at midnight on Monday, just one day before. I see so many praying and seeking God during this time and regardless of the outcome, I believe we are seeing the beginning of a true spiritual awakening. I have prayed for my own city for over 40 years and have expanded those prayers to our Nation and our world in more recent years. Even though our challenges are difficult, our God is the same yesterday, today, and FOREVER. Don’t stop praying! Don’t stop seeking! Let’s keep praying this month:

Show Us Your Glory, Lord… November 1-3 ,2024

Welcome, November!

Dear Praying Friends,

I am writing this just a few days before the election. It feels like everyone is holding our “collective breath” to see the outcome. But this is a good time to remember that we have read the “end of the Book” and know the eternal outcome! Jesus is Lord! Keep your heart and mind settled when you are tempted to be anxious. As we enter a very special time of the year, let’s pray:

Show us Your Glory, Lord as we pray with THANKSGIVING!

Pray on, faithful Saints! Gina

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” ~Joshua 1:9

Prayer Pointer: No one has lived with more humility than Jesus. He came to earth from heaven to become a man, live for us, give his life for us, and be resurrected for us. When you spend time with him, you become more humble, which in turn builds up your relationships for the better. -Rick Warren

Prayer “Fuel”: Lord, I want to come into Your presence today singing a song of joy. You know that sometimes I come half-heartedly and I am sorry. I surrender the struggles, the sin, and everything that hinders that song of joy in my life. Thank You that You never leave me nor forsake me and that Your mercies are new every morning. (add your own prayers) Show us Your Glory, Lord as we pray with THANKSGIVING!

Think/Journal/apply: In what areas of my life am I too focused on outward appearances or achievements?

Show Us Your Glory, Lord… October 28-31, 2024

A song that fits our Theme…Open the Heavens…show us Your glory!

Welcome, October!

Let’s Pray:

SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD, as we are filled with the Holy Spirit!

Dear praying friends, As another month, another “chapter” closes with October 2024, let’s keep praying. The Lord has been reminding me this week that we are all a “lighthouse” as Jesus tells us to let our light shine (Him) out into the world. (Matthew 5:16) So let’s focus this week on some “light” from the scriptures and let’s keep praying:

SHOW US YOUR GLORY, LORD, as we are filled with the Holy Spirit!

Pray on, Saints! ~Gina

Feel like you’re hanging on by a thread? I hope this will encourage you :Prayer Cast #3: Don’t Just Survive…THRIVE!

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” ~Acts 1:8

Prayer Pointer: “He leads us by no unnecessary pathways. There are a meaning and a value in every stretch of the road, however rough and tortuous it may be. (Morgan)
